Ferrari, Enzo 1898 - 1988. Italian founder of the Ferrari car-manufacturing company. The Ferrari company specializes in Grand Prix racing cars and high-quality sports cars. He was a racing driver for Alfa Romeo in the 1920s, went on to become one of their designers, and took over their racing division 1929. In 1947 the first "true" Ferrari was seen. The Ferrari car won more world championship Grand Prix than any other car until very recently, when the McLaren Formula One team equalled their record.
